Climate Science at the Brink — from ClimateDiscovery.org and the Climate Change Now Initiative
Record flooding on Onion Creek, Austin, October 2013 Hydrology is one of our advanced culture’s most important engineering design areas because so much of our lives depend on not being…
A brief discussion with summarized academic findings. Climate Tipping, Earth Systems Collapse Initiation Greenland and Antarctica have seen their tipping activated. This does not mean they have passed the point…
With magical zero emissions tomorrow, equilibrium warming in the pipeline is now 10 degrees C (18 F) in several centuries and 6 to 7 C (11 to 13 F) in…
Bruce Melton, an Austin-based civil engineer and a student of climate science, was Thorne Dreyer’s guest on Rag Radio. Melton is an environmental researcher and activist, a green builder, an…
This show with climate change researcher and activist Bruce Melton was first broadcast as Hurricane Harvey was approaching landfall – and it includes time specific information about the approaching storm. On the…

the Climate Change Now Initiative 501c3
Founded in 2005, the Climate Change Now Initiative is at the forefront of climate science education. This science tells us that abrupt changes have begun 100 times more extreme and 100 years ahead of schedule. Because of the delay, too much CO2 has been emitted for emissions reductions to cool. But the delay has allowed scientists to perfect the solutions: unambigous, cheap, simple, and much different than before — but further delay is no longer optional. The newly emerging science of global warming psychology says previous education strategies have failed and new ones are needed.
Thirty years of delay
Abrupt changes have begun
Our old climate culture must rapidly change
We use the most advanced global warming psychology to enhance outreach. Thirty years of trying has resulted in advancement of impacts that will result in unrecoverable scenarios if we do not reverse warming immediately.
